Second Estimation of Waterfowl Ends in Biswanath Wildlife Division

Biswanath Chariali: The second Waterfowl Estimation, 2020 concluded successfully in the Biswanath Wildlife Division, Kaziranga Tiger Reserve recently along with the Kaziranga National Park. It was accomplished in Easter Range-Gamiri, Central Range-Biswanath Ghat and Western Range of Nagsankar. The estimation commenced in 28 wetlands on January 10. A total number of 5,185 birds of 61 species were spotted in the estimation. Around 1,872 Lesser Whistling Ducks, 495 bar-headed geese and 339 Gadwalls were found during the counting.
