Section 144 CrPC imposed in Bongaigaon district

BONGAIGAON: In regard to the unwanted incidents which occurred at Ranchi, Kochbihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Kolkata, Kanpur etc, Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in the Bongaigaon district by district administration.

In a press note on Sunday from the district administration, it is said that the section has been imposed to prevent any unwanted incident in the district. By this order issued by ADC Pankaj Chamua, the district administration has prohibited gathering of people in public place, arranging any meeting or function, using loudspeaker, carrying any kind of arms, sharp weapons or sticks, collecting any kind of donations etc. But in case of railway station, bus stand, daily market, playground, marriage ceremony etc, this prohibition will not apply as mentioned in the order. This will come into effect from today until further order.
