Section 144 CrPC imposed in Golaghat district

GOLAGHAT: Golaghat district administration has imposed Section 144 CrPC in the district of Golaghat anticipating breach of peace and tranquillity. As such assembly of five or more persons with common objective of picketing or taking out procession, holding any meeting at public places, thoroughfare and places frequented by public and also within 100 meters range of quarantine centers located different places of the district has been restricted.

Training in public places by way of drills, training in lathis, weapons, etc., except by Government organisations such as N.C.C., Police, Home Guards, etc.; carrying and possession of explosives or lethal weapon; holding, meetings/ rallies, taking out any procession, shouting slogans at any road or public places; publishing and display of objectionable posters, placards, cartoons, effigies, wall writing, etc. at any thorough-fare or other places; pasting poster and writing on Government building and private building, transport and bursting of crackers on the roads, thorough-fare on public places; collection of subscription, donation, etc. by any person, group of persons, organisations and printing of any appeal to contribute of any purpose without due authority has also been banned.
