Section 144 imposed in Golaghat for smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha election

GOLAGHAT: To ensure smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha election in Golaghat district, the Additional District Magistrate of Golaghat, Dhiraj Das has imposed section 144 in Golaghat on Tuesday by an order.

As such assembly of five or more persons with common object of picketing or taking out procession, holding any meeting at public places, taking of weapons, sticks, have been restricted. Carrying and possession of explosives or lethal weapon; holding, meetings/ rallies, taking out any procession, shouting slogans at any road or public places; publishing and display of objectionable posters, placards, cartoons, effigies and wall writing, have also been banned in Golaghat in view of smooth conduct of the parliamentary election.
