DHUBRI: A seminar on the role of the saints in the development of library will be organized by Indian Ethno Library Society and Global Research Methodology Journal Madhupur, Cooch Behar, West Bengal at Madhupur Xatra on December 29

Great Vaishnavite saint Srimanta Sankardeva was not only a spiritual leader but also an academician. In memory of his contribution towards ethno librarianship, the Indian Ethno Library Society will organize a seminar on the ‘Role of saints in the development of libraries’ with the collaboration of the Global Research Methodology Journal at Madhupur Xatra.

Talking to The Sentinel, convener of Indian Ethno Library Society, Dr. Haricharan Das informed that research papers were invited from research scholars, teachers and students of any discipline to be presented in this seminar. The sub-themes may be ‘Role of the saints in the development of libraries of any country’; ‘Role of any great saint in the development of libraries’, ‘Role of bhakti movement in the development of libraries’ and Srimanta Sankardeva as a pioneer of ethno library and ethno library science, Dr. Das added.
