Senior citizen Ratna Baruah, wife of Bipin Chandra Baruah, former Chairman, Doomdooma Town Committee passes away

DOOMDOOMA: Ratna Baruah, wife of Bipin Chandra Baruah, former Chairman, Doomdooma Town Committee (now Doomdooma Municipal Board), passed away at her Azad road residence on Thursday night due to old-age ailment. She was 83 and is survived by a son, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.

She was a pious lady and was an active member of Doomdooma Mahila Samiti.

Her death was mourned by a number of organizations, including Doomdooma Namghar Samity, Doomdooma Sakha Xahity Xabha, Sadou Asam Lekhika Samaroh Samity, Doomdooma Asamiya Puja Aru Natyamandir Samity, Assam Science Society, Doomdooma Branch, Doomdooma Press Club and Doomdooma Rotary Club.
