Sensitization programme on child protection held in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: The District Child Protection Unit, Tinsukia in Collaboration with Education Department organized a sensitization programme on Child Protection issues with special focus on Child Marriage and Child Trafficking for the Teachers, CRCCs and BRPs of Tinsukia district. The training programme was related to sensitization of the stakeholders regarding various child protection issues including the laws regarding child marriage, POCSO Act and Juvenile Justice (care and Protection of Children) Act. The participants also discussed regarding the increase in the number of dropouts from the schools.

The participants present in the meeting were Munindra Bordoloi, CEOTinsukia Zilla Parishad, ForhanUddin Choudhury, Secretary DLSA Tinsukia, Sarfraz Haque, ADC Tinsukia besides other officials.
