Sensitization programme on tuberculosis held in Sonitpur

TEZPUR: Sensitization programme on Tuberculosis was held at the conference hall of the DLSA Sonitpur. The programme was organized by District health Society, NTEP, Sonitpur under Tezpur TB unit in collaboration with District Legal Services authority, Sonitpur.

The meeting was presided by Secretary, DLSA Sonitpur, Chinmoy Barua in the presence of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Angshuman Bhattacharje , Joint Director of Health Services, Sonitpur, Dr J Ahmed, Dr Simanta Borah, TB-HIV Co-ordinator, NTEP Assam, Advocates of Session Court and NTEP Sonitpur staff members.

Dr Sanjoy Roy, District TB Officer, Sonitpur, explained about tuberculosis. He shared some facts about the early warning and awareness for early detection. Dr Roy elaborately discussed about the signs and symptoms, treatment procedure, medication and "Nikshay Poshan Yojna". Earlier, Chinmoy Barua, Secretary, DLSA in his speech admired the activities of NTEP Sonitpur team and assured them of all support and help.
