Seven dumpers laden with river resources seized in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: A team of forest officials led by Lakhimpur Range Officer of Forest and Dhakuakhana Sub-Beat Officer, seized seven dumpers on Thursday carrying sand gravel and p-gravels with manipulated challans. At that time these dumpers were going to Majuli from Dhakuakhana laden with river resources.

The registration numbers of the seized dumpers are - AS-07 AC 4551, AS-22 C 7261, AS-22 C 6541, AS-22 C 6551, AS-02 AC 8801, AS-22 C 6698 and AS-02 BC 4398. Forest Department source informed that various discrepancies and manipulation, when investigated, were noticed in the challans required for carrying the river resources and hence the dumpers were seized. The seized dumpers have been kept at the Dhakuakhna Sub-Beat office campus of the Forest Department.
