Seven-year old boy recovered from Tirap River near Fulbari, Tinsukia

JAGUN: The body of a 7-year old boy was recovered on Wednesday morning. He had accidentally drowned in Tirap River near Fulbari, 9 mile of Jagun in Tinsukia district. As per sources, the boy has been identified as Chunku Tanti of Fulbari village. He had gone for swimming with his friends but he suddenly downed after slipping into a pit on the river side, suspected to have been illegally dug to extract sand and rocks for use in construction works. The body was sent for post-mortem.
