Silchar Medical College Students’ Union organized ‘Quiz A Thon’

Silchar: Silchar Medical College Students’ Union has organized an annual state-level quiz competition “Quiz A Thon” for the fifth time in a row on January 12 in memory of their most admired colleague Raishumai Boro who lost her precious life due to leukemia (blood cancer) in 2015. Known for her sweet and suave behavior and depth of knowledge in the discipline in which she was pursuing her studies, Raishumai made a place of distinction in the academics of the premier institution.

Giving details about the quiz competition, a spokesperson of the SMCSU said the competition is open for all the interested quizzers up to the graduate level. Two participants in each team, lone wolves are also allowed, besides cross-teams are allowed too. No entry fees shall be collected from the participants. The winning amount stands as follows: 1st prize- Rs 15000 only+ trophy, 2nd prize- Rs 10,000 only. 3rd prize- Rs 5000 only. Consolation prize for 4th, 5th & 6th position is Rs 1000 each. The prize money is being endorsed by Late Dr. Abhijit Dutta Memorial Trust.

Quizmaster is Wonkyo Weingken. SMCSU welcomes all the quiz enthusiasts of Assam to join them in this biggest quizzing extravaganza and make it a grand and memorable event of the time.
