Singer Zubeen Garg in stable condition but needs proper rest, says doctor

GUWAHATI: Singer Zubeen Garg who was hospitalized in a city nursing home on Friday evening when he fell ill at a cultural function at Guwahati Town Club is now stable.

Dr. Hitesh Baruah said that he will be kept under observation for 24 hours. The doctor also said that he has been put on a liquid diet and that he needs rest.

Zubeen Garg after suddenly falling was immediately shifted to Nemcare Hospital in Guwahati for better medication.

According to reports, Zubeen fell unconscious suddenly during an interaction with the media.

As per the latest updates, his condition was reported stable and out of danger.

Meanwhile, Minister Naba Doley also visited Zubeen Garg at the Nemcare Hospital in Guwahati’s Bhangagarh area.

For a fact, Garg’s name has also been proposed for upcoming Rajya Sabha Elections in Assam.

According to reports, former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi has proposed the name of the celebrity from the state.

“I have no interest in politics but Rajya Sabha is different. Well-known faces are sent to Rajya Sabha from different states. Let me think about it. Right now, I can’t comment on this, let me reach Guwahati,” he said.

He has lent his voice to an English music video with an aim to garner global support against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The music video titled “Motherland” focuses on the ongoing socio-political situation of Assam and the rest of the Northeast, has been made available on YouTube recently. The video is a product of band Cosmic Horizon.

Zubeen is now a familiar face of the ongoing anti-CAA protests across the State. The singer has been criticizing both the Centre and Assam Government for bringing the Act. He has been uniting the artistes’ community to join the ongoing movement.
