JAGIROAD: The Save Industry, Save Workers Joint Movement Forum is all set to launch rigorous agitation from January 8 demanding the withdrawal of auction bid of the Nagaon Paper Mill (NPM), Jagiroad and the Cachar Paper Mill (CPM), Panchgram.

While observing a sit-in in front of the Nagaon Paper Mill, the forum vehemently opposed the government’s move to privatize both the mills and urged upon the government to revive the mills in government sector like what the Kerala Government had initiated.

The forum also criticized the government for not releasing funds for the pending salary of more than 36 months of the employees of the mills.
