Siu-Ka-Pha Divas observed in Demow Public Playground

DEMOW: Under the patronage of All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU), Demow Regional Committee and in association with the people of Demow, Asom Divas was observed in Demow Public Playground on Monday with a day-long programme.

The programme starts with the hoisting of the flag of Kendriya Sukapha (Asom) Divas 2019, by Ajay Kumar Gogoi, president of the organizing committee of Kendriya Sukapha (Asom) Divas, 2019, which was followed by maidam tarpan and smiti tarpan. The drawing competition was organized among students. A colourful cultural procession was taken out in Demow where popular actress Pratibha Chaudhury took part. Traditional dress competition was also organized.

On Monday evening, earthen lamps were lit in front of the portrait of Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha. A general meeting was organized where winners of various competitions were given prizes.
