Sivasagar DC Megha Nidhi Dahal holds interactive session with mediapersons

SIVASAGAR: The newly-appointed Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar district, Megha Nidhi Dahal convened an interaction meeting with media persons of Sivasagar district at Syukafa Conference Hall of the DC's Office, Sivasagar on Tuesday evening.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Bitupan Neog, Karmadev Brahma and Chandana Baruah, SDO(S) Dr Mondira Baruah, DIPRO Syeda Hasnahana, besides media persons representing different print and electronic media who highlighted different issues of the district. The journalists present, at the beginning, gave a warm welcome to the newly-appointed Deputy Commissioner.

Suggestions were sought from the media persons in addressing the various issues in connection with the developmental activities being carried out in the district and the challenges faced by the general public. While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the administration would undertake necessary short-term and long-term plans to resolve various problems in the district. He urged the journalists to provide constructive advice on the overall development of the district and to provide best service to the people of the district.

Aiming to settle the complaints and objections of the public, the Deputy Commissioner released a WhatsApp number, saying that the people of the district could send details along with photos about the scarcity-complaints and problems of their area on the number 9435306000. The Deputy Commissioner also said that the district administration would take necessary measures to solve these shortcomings and problems.
