Sivasagar Police arrested two drug peddlers

SIVASAGAR: As part of their efforts against drugs and narcotic substances, the Sivasagar Police on Thursday arrested two youths from Sivasagar town and seized three plastic containers of brown sugar.

The arrested youths have been identified as Inamul Hussain of Khatopathar, Sivasagar and Saddam Hussain of Nagaon. Informing about the arrest and the seizure, Jugal Kishore Kalita, Officer-in-charge of Sivasagar Sadar PS said, "Acting on a tip off, one Inamul Hussain was arrested from KPM Chariali, while Saddam Hussain was arrested from Dhaiali area of Sivasagar." "Three plastic containers filled up with brown sugar and two empty plastic containers were recovered from them," said Kalita.
