GOLAGHAT: Six dacoits who looted Rs 3.75 lakh from a businessman were arrested by Golaghat Police on Wednesday. According to police, six dacoits - Raju Ali, Shyamal Chandu, Babu Ali, Rustom Hussain, Washim Akhtar, Raju Shyam and Jamidul Hussain - all from Golaghat town, looted a businessman, Isha Khan of Jorhat who came to Golaghat for purchasing goods. The dacoits called the businessman Isha Khan to Golaghat for buying gutkha and took him to the Bengenakhowa area of Golaghat town where they looted Rs 3.75 lakh from him. Later, Isha Khan reached Golaghat police station and lodged an FIR against the dacoits. After investigation, Golaghat police nabbed six persons who were involved in the robbery. Among the dacoits, Raju Ali is absconding.
