KOKRAJHAR: Six more COVID-19 positive cases were confirmed among those at quarantine centers in Kokrajhar on Monday, bringing the final tally to 15. Manik Sarkar(35), Kali Bahadur Limbu (35), Kabiqul Bhos (18), Nerswn Daimary (28), Bhudev Barman (36) and Samidul Islam (16) are the ones who will have to suffer

Manik Sarkar had arrived from Haryana and was confined at the CIT Quarantine Centre. He hails from Manikpur in Bongaigaon while Kali Bahadur Limbu, who is from Baksa district, arrived from Gurgaon and was kept at the same place. Nerswn Daimary from Udalguri district was at SAI centre since his arrival from Delhi and Bhudev Barman was at Kendriya Vidyalaya quarantine centre since his arrival from Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Samidul Islam, who is from Dhubri had arrived from Uttar Pradesh and was at Bineswar Brahma Engineering College quarantine centre. At this crucial juncture, it must have been so painful for Samidul as he cannot be with his family on the eve of Eid. The details of the sixth patient Kabiqul Bhos is yet to be confirmed by the officials. DC Kokrajhar, Bhaskar Phukan told the media persons that the returnees from different States were being taken to quarantine centres in their respective districts. He said that only the people of Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa district, returning home from various States would be taken put in quarantine centres of Kokrajhar. He also called upon the people to maintain social distancing and follow lockdown norms.
