Six persons test positive for COVID-19 in Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: As many as six persons, including two teachers, have tested COVID-19 positive at Jawaharlal Navoday Vidyalaya, Sonitpur situated at Biswanath Chariali.

The school will remain closed for three days as a result of the pandemic. A teacher who hails from Lakhimpur had been suffering from fever and was tested positive on Thursday. The Department of Health carried out rapid antigen tests on the students and teachers of the school and it was found that the teacher's son, along with another teacher, his wife and two daughters were also positive.

In the meantime, the affected persons have been kept in quarantine. The school will be closed for three days and arrangements have been made for sanitization. The school started a few days ago.
