Skill development centre inaugurated at Kaziranga University

JORHAT: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with minister Naba Kumar Doley inaugurated the first of its kind Skill Development Centre in Upper Assam at Kaziranga University on Monday. It is sponsored by the Pradhan Mantri Kushal Vikas Yojana under Skill India of National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India, at the premises of the Kaziranga University at Koraikhuwa in Jorhat district.

The centre has been set up under the initiative of the Assam Skill Development Mission for training youths. Later, Sonowal interacted with the students and teachers about their interest in the skill development courses offered by Kaziranga University. During the inaugural function, Dr. Basant Khaitan, the pro-Vice-Chancellor of KU, along with faculty members were also present.
