Skill development programme to start today in Sibsagar Commerce College

GAURISAGAR: Sibsagar Commerce College will organize a 21-day long skill development programme for undergraduates. The programme, which will kick off on Monday, has been organized under the Employability Skill Development Programme, jointly by College IQAC, Tata Consultancy Services, Jorhat Employment Exchange, Career Counselling Cell, Dibrugarh University and Ministry of Labour, Government of India.

The resource persons from TCS will train the students on soft skills, how to face interviews, work culture and work environment in corporate houses. After the training programme, placement will also be provided at TCS to those who perform well. In the recent past, many students have been successfully absorbed by companies like Wipro, Genpack, Bandhan Bank, and ICICI Bank through campus placement. The college is also running successfully its recently launched online examination centre by providing venue for various job recruitment and promotional examinations.
