Smuggled cattle recovered from truck

JOYSAGAR: Cattle smuggling has become a serious crime in Upper Assam. Cattle smugglers supply cattle to Nagaland through secret routes of Sonari, Mathurapur, Charaideo, Amguri, Halwating and Namti, sources informed. Such a gang of cattle smugglers tried to supply some cattle through the Sonari-Namtola road on Sunday night but Sonari Police patrol team saw them and the cattle smugglers fled away leaving the truck. Police seized the truck and recovered four cows and six goats.
