Social organization formed at Dessangmukh, Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: In order to expose the talent of the upcoming generations and for comprehensive development of under privileged sections of the society, a social organization called Shradha was formed recently at Dessangmukh, Sivasagar.

A programme was held on the occasion which was inaugurated byAbdul Zelil, Inspector of Schools, Sivasagar district. Addressing the gathering, Zelil emphasized that for better development of students, sports and cultural activity were important and social organizations like Shradha could create such a conducive environment.

The programme started with lightning of lamps by social worker Narayan Mili, Baba Chandra Mili, Kamal Chandra Panging, Thanuram Mili, Nanada Mili, Gita Deori and Bidya Patiri. The programme was clubbed with sports activity like 100 metre race, shot-put and javelin throw competition among the students of classes VI to VIII who participated from various schools of Desangmukh area. Simultaneously, two friendly football matches were held in memory of Dharmakanta Taye , a social worker, and Premawati Mili of Desangmukh, Sivasagar. During the programme, some renowned self-help groups, farmers, media persons and social workers were felicitated.
