KOKRAJHAR: With the rise in corona positive cases in Kokrajhar to 17, the administration is leaving no stone unturned to provide best facilities to the people quarantined in the institutional quarantine centres.

State Social Welfare Minister Promila Rani Brahma chaired a meeting at Kokrajhar Commerce College along with several district administrative officials and Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roushan. Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Bhaskar Phukan informed media persons that there were a total of 40 quarantine centres in the district where residents of Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa had been quarantined. Kokrajhar SP Roushan further said that lawful action had been initiated against the 33 people who fled from the Besorgaon, Nursing Training Quarantine Centre.
