Social worker Tulsidas Banerjee passes away in Haflong

Haflong: With the demise of Tulsidas Banerjee, the people of Lower Haflong, in particular, have lost a great social leader and a guardian. Tulsidas Banerjee who was popularly known as ‘Babulda’ breathed his last at Guwahati during the early hours of Tuesday. He was a retired founder teacher of Lower Haflong M E School, joined the Indian National Congress after his retirement and served the party till his last days.

His body was brought to Haflong and a floral tribute was offered by Dima Hasao District Congress Committee at Rajiv Bhawan. Various organizations offered floral tributes to him and joined his funeral held at Lower Haflong. He is survived by wife, son, daughter, brothers and hundreds of his admirers and relatives.
