Solar lights and water filters distributed in Rangia by SSB 24 Bn

In order to help the poor students and provide pure drinking water, the SSB 24 Bn camped at Hahara near Rangia is carrying out various Civic Action Programmes.

RANGIA: In order to help the poor students and provide pure drinking water, the SSB 24 Bn camped at Hahara near Rangia is carrying out various Civic Action Programmes in the north-eastern region in its area of responsibility covering Baksa and Udalguri districts of BTR. The battalion is also carrying out various developmental programmes to help poor families of the Indo-Bhutan border.

In continuing the same, the 24 Bn of SSB donated and installed two RO (IRP, Motors) water purifying projects at Gopinath Bordoloi High School, Guabari and Rajagarh, Janata LP School, Nalapara in presence of Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant, 24 Bn SSB Rangia, Deepak Savita, Deputy Commandant, and other officers of 24 Bn SSB. Principals of both the schools and local prominent leaders of Guabari area were also present in programme held in the school premises.

Beside this, 43 solar dragon lights to poor villagers residing near Indo-Bhutan border under threat of wild elephants were also distributed in order to save villagers from the rage of wild elephants under Civic Action Programme scheme in the north-eastern region on Friday.
