Some spectacular achievements in PWD department in 2 years of BTC
PWD is the most important department for socio-economic development of the region.

KOKRAJHAR: PWD is the most important department for socio-economic development of the region. The government has given due attention to the department for the development of various infrastructures including strengthening of surface connectivity.
As per the achievement data given by the CHD of PWD, the department has during the year 2020-22 constructed 576 km road under SOPD, BTC and State Government Goodwill project (SOPD-G). Some spectacular projects included the completion of 20 building and electrical works, setting up of IT Park at Kokrajhar at Rs. 34.18 crore, college of Nursing at Kokrajhar at a tune of Rs. 14.27 crore, construction of three storied building for Bodo Language department at Dibrugarh University at an amount of Rs. 3.64 crore, construction of proposed office building for All CHD Office Complex in the heart of Kokrajhar town under One Time Special Grant of Rs.15.44 crore, construction of administrative- cum academic building for Tipkai Junior College in Kokrajhar district under One Time Special Grant of Rs.2.23 crore and construction of Law College at Kokrajhar under One Time Special Grant of Rs.3 crore which is now functional.
The ongoing schemes included the construction of new medical college and Hospital in Kokrajhar under SOPD-G for the financial year 2018-19 at Rs. 382.69 crore, construction of Model Residential School at Hatidhura in Kokrajhar at a cost of Rs.30.42 crore, construction of two storied office building (G+2) for accommodation of Superintending Engineer, PWD (R&B) Circle, Kokrajhar at Rs.3.15 crore and construction of proposed office building for Executive Engineer, PWD (Building), Kokrajhar at Rs.3.31 crore.
Some of the completed road works in the year 2020-21 under SOPD of Baksa district included the construction of road from Ch. R.N. (Pahelipam) road to Daimajing at Rs.1.65 crore construction of Rangafali Bhaben house to Halo Chowk at 1.03 crore, restoration of Br. no. 3/1 over River Anglisinga on Hazua Bhuyapara road at Rs.1.34 crore.
In Kokrajhar district under SOPD-G for the year 2020-21, the constructions works included the widening & strengthening of road from Bahalpur Road to Futkibari road by providing BM & SDBC for Assam State Government Good Will Project under SOPD-G for the year 2020-21, at Rs.1.71 crore, construction of road from Bethagaon PWD Road to Choto Malgaon connection road at Rs.1.38 crore, construction of road from SSB camp to Polodabri via Robert Market at Rs.4.36 crore, improvement of road from Makrambil to Tengarbita PWD road at Rs.2.17 crore, improvement of road from Kachugaon Raimona road Joleswari LP School to Tekhabazar at Rs.2.32 crore, construction of road from Joleswari Bazar to No.2 Lotamari at Rs.1.09 crore, improvement of road from Panowary Brahma Mandir to Malaguri via Rajbongshi Para at Rs1.27 crore, improvement of road from Srirampur-Jaraguri PWD road to Gokulkata bridge via No.2 Dawaguri village at Rs.2.36 crore, construction of road from Samdasguri LP school to Jiaguri bazaar at Rs.1.18 crore, construction of I.C.B.P road at Padmabil village from PWD road at Rs.2.05 crore.
Some of the spectacular road construction works under SOPD-G in 2021-22 in Chirang district included the construction of ICBP road from Dhanshibari PWD CC Block road to Gwkatara vill road at Rs.1 crore, construction of ICBP road from Dhanshibari PMGSY road to Bengtol PWD road at Rs.1. crore, renovation of road from Runikhata Boro Girls' High School to Dantak road by providing WBM-ICBP including cross drainage work at Rs.1.04 crore, construction of S.D.B.C. road from Nakendra LP School to Kaola Bazar via No.1 Samodwisa village 3 crore, construction of S.D.B.C. road from Runikhata to Dantok road near Daimalu High School via M/Runikhata at Rs.4.50 crore, construction of "Bhatipara Shiv Mandir to Sakati Uzanpara village road via Bhatipara LP School at Rs.1.42 crore, construction of ICBP road from Birhangaon Amguri to Kolobari at Rs.1.67 crore and construction of ICBP road from Daosri Buddha Mandir Dantok road to Daosri Kali Mandir via Dumbrutola village at Rs.4.50 crore.
