Sonitpur DC Narsing Pawar holds meeting with political parties

Tezpur: In view of the ensuing parliamentary elections, a meeting with all political parties was held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Tezpur.

Sonitpur DC-cum-District Election Officer, Narsing Pawar chaired the meeting where ADCs K K Sarmah, Naranarayan Nath, and Election Officer Subhram Aditya Borah were also present. The Deputy Commissioner sought cooperation from all political parties and public representatives for smooth conduct of the upcoming election. The DC, while sharing the manual on model code of conduct, informed about the model code of conduct modalities that candidates and parties need to follow during the election process. The compendium of instructions on election expenditure monitoring was also shared with the political parties and the guidelines of the expenditure monitoring were explained.
