Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner Imposed Restrictions on issue of POL

Tezpur: Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner has vide an order instructed all fuel depots/ petrol pumps to issue POL (Petroleum, Oil, Lubricants) only to Government officials on duty (civil and police) and staff engaged in emergency services (medical, Fire and ES, Electricity, Water Supply, etc). Also any person who has obtained special permission from the district administration for movement during the lock down period may be issued POL by the depots. Other than these categories, fuel depots have been instructed not to issue POL to any civilian vehicles. The order comes into force with immediate effect.
