Sonitpur District Administration Issue Temporary License For Sale of Fireworks

Tezpur: The Sonitpur district administration will issue a temporary license for sale of fireworks during the upcoming Kalipuja and Diwali festival between October 25 and October 27.

Interested vendors may apply at Gana Bhavan in the office of the Deputy Commissioner between October 16 and October 22 along with two passport-size photographs and No Objection Certificate from local body/ ward commissioners concerned. The licence fees for fireworks of Division 2 of Class 7 in a quantity not exceeding 15 kg at a time is Rs 200 and fees for a quantity exceeding 15 kg but not exceeding 200 kg at a time is Rs 2,000. Any complaints received regarding offering and taking of bribes will be strictly punished by law under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
