Sonitpur police recover factory-made pistol in Dhekiajuli operation

TEZPUR: In a significant development, Sonitpur police recovered a factory-made 7.65 mm pistol along with a magazine during a search operation near the weekly market area of Shantipur under Dhekiajuli police station in Sonitpur district on August 4.

The recovery was made based on the lead provided by the accused, Anchula Islary, who is currently in police remand. Acting on the information, the police team was guided by the accused to the specific location, where the pistol was subsequently recovered and seized.

The operation was carried out in connection with Dhekiajuli PS Case No. 213/25, police officials confirmed.
