Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika inaugurated memorial hall at Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika inaugurated a memorial hall in a meeting held in the premises of Madhya Chilabandha Gaon Panchayat with Bhaba Goswami, former secretary of Asom Xatra Mahasabha in the chair on Sunday. JumoniSaikia (28), who was a young and dynamic artist from Jamugurihat died in a road accident on November 8 this year near Balipara. The local people in collaboration with the employees, representatives of Madhya Chilabandha G.P have raised a fund and decided to build a hall to preserve the memory of artist Jumoni. The inaugural session was also attended by Rajib Kumar Bora, Block Development Officer of Naduar Development Block, Poly Chutiya Bora, ZPC member of Borbhogiys along with others. The proceedings of the meeting were carried out by Sailen Borkataky and Ratul Nath.
