Speaker Biswajit Daimary visits Sabha Brahma Music and Fine Art College, Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary on Wednesday visited the Sabha Brahma Music and Fine Art College, Kokrajhar to take stock of the functioning and ongoing developmental works of the college.

The college was provincialized after a clause of the BTR accord was implemented last year. During a meeting held with the Principal, Vice-Principal and faculties of the college in the presence of Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka, BTC Secretary Naren Chandra Basumatary and Education Director of BTR, Jagdish Prasad Brahma, the Speaker assured of addressing all the issues of the college, including strengthening of staff, faculty and infrastructure. He said that the State Government was committed to work for the development and welfare of the colleges. He hoped that Sabha Brahma Music and Fine Art College of Kokrajhar would be upgraded to university level in the days to come.
