Special camps for the registration of new voters organized in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: As a part of the Special Summary Revision, 2023, special camps and on-spot registration activity was organized on Wednesday by the District Election Officer, Margherita for students aged 18+ and 17+ (advance application) in the higher educational institutes under 124-Margherita LAC for registration of new voters with January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date.
The eligible voters in their respective educational institutes availed the opportunity by registering themselves by filling in the Form-6(A) and submitting the proof of their residency and age along with their photos to the officials from the Election department. Apart from new registration, for any discrepancies in the photo electoral roll, the claims and objections can be filed by an eligible voter till December 8, 2022 which will be settled by December 26, 2022. The final Photo Electoral Roll will be published on January 5, 2023.
