Special COVID vaccination drive for PwDs in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: A special vaccination drive for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) was organized jointly by the district administration with the help of the Social Welfare department held at Chariduar and Nadura Revenue Circle in Sonitpur district.

The special vaccination programme was formally inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sonitpur, Dyotiva Bora in presence of other dignitaries.

A total of 221 vaccine jabs were administered to the differently-abled individuals in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus and this dedicated COVID vaccination centre will continue till complete coverage of the differently-abled individuals, Dyotiva Bora said. The drive was held under the supervision of the Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr Phani Pathak and DIO, Dr Biman Sharma.
