Special review committee to visit detention centre at Tezpur Central Jail

Tezpur: A Special review committee was formed to review the conditions of detenus in various detention centres across Assam. The committee will visit the detention centre at Tezpur Central Jail today morning. The team will be led by Chairman and DIG (Border) D. Mukherjee and he will be accompanied by IG, Prisons, B Sharma, District Judge (Retd) H Singh, AIG, Prisons D Saikia, other officials and staff. Interested persons, organisations, etc., willing to make any representation before the committee may submit a memorandum at Tezpur Circuit House Tezpur on Sunday latest by 3 pm.
