GUWAHATI: Sri Aurobindo Society and Samagra Shiksha - Dibrugarh, Assam collectively organized an e-exhibition. During the e-exhibition, 17 teachers from the district exhibited their teaching learning materials (T.L.Ms) through the online medium.

Deepika Choudhury, Inspector of School-cum-District Mission Coordinator (AES), Dibrugarh, Assam was the chief guest of the district level e-exhibition for Dibrugarh, Assam. Monima Bhattacharjee, District Programme Officer (TT & P) SSA Dibrugarh, Assam and Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Rupantar, Sri Aurobindo Society, attended the online session as the special guests. The e-exhibition in the district is part of the series of e-exhibitions being organized by Sri Aurobindo Society across the country. Till date, a total of 191 successful e-exhibitions in India have been organized by Sri Aurobindo Society.

Motivating the teachers in the session, the special guest, Monima Bhattacharjee, District Programme Officer (TT & P) SSA Dibrugarh, Assam said, "This e-exhibition platform is one of its kinds and I consider this as an interesting medium to showcase the teaching learning materials (TLMs) of the teacher. This e-exhibition is a great opportunity for the teachers to exhibit and share their teaching practices with the other teachers. Schools have re-opened in the district and the teachers can implement the shared teaching ideas in their classrooms and improve their students' learning outcomes. It is a matter of immense pleasure that teachers from the district are actively participating in this e-exhibition and they will surely give their best in showcasing their innovative teaching ideas."

Talking about innovative ideas and their roles in improving the learning outcomes of the students, Bhattacharjee said, "Teaching learning materials (TLMs) or innovative teaching ideas by the teachers play a crucial role in creating a joyful learning environment in the classrooms. Through various audio-visual aids and other teaching materials, teachers regularly come up with new and engaging activities so as to keep students excited about learning new concepts. At present times, there is focus on experiential and activity-based learning and TLMs assist the teachers to provide the same in their schools."

During her address, she also applauded Sri Aurobindo Society for organizing the e-exhibition for the teachers of Dibrugarh, Assam. Speaking at the event, Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Sri Aurobindo Society said, "The National education Policy 2020 talks about creating a joyful learning environment where students feel self-motivated towards learning new things. For creating such an environment, collaborative efforts are required. The co-operation of the education officers of the district and state and active participation of the teachers in this webinar is indicative of their commitment towards work and proactive attitude. I congratulate and wish the teachers will utilize this opportunity and will contribute their efforts in transforming education. This e-exhibition will definitely help many teachers share and learn new teaching techniques that have been innovated and adopted by them."

In order to orient and make teachers aware of various zero investment innovations and to encourage the teachers, Sri Aurobindo Society organized an e-exhibition for the teachers of Dibrugarh, Assam. In this e-exhibition, 17 innovative teachers of Dibrugarh presented their innovative teaching practices through online medium. With this e-exhibition, Sri Aurobindo Society has successfully organized 20 district level e-exhibitions in the State stated a press release.
