UDALGURI: The newly-constructed Sri Vishnu Laxmi Vidya Mandir was formally inaugurated by four distinguished persons amidst rituals.

Chandramohan Chhetry, senior social worker, inaugurated the main entrance of the temple and the lamp was lit by Bidyapati Dahal, the renowned Sanskrit scholar. The idols were inaugurated by Tarapati Upadhyaya, renowned litterateur, and another lamp was lit by Dadhiram Sarma. The guest house constructed under the Assam Darshan scheme was inaugurated by Nilakhi Baishya, the assistant commissioner of Udalguri.

The meeting was presided over by Bishnu Sarma Neupane, the president of the Mandir Construction Committee, and the guest felicitation was conducted by Ramesh Dahal, the secretary of the committee. Nilakhi Baishya, Assistant Commissioner, thanked the committee for the construction of the guest house and the temple that led to the beautification of Udalguri town.
