SSA, Biswanath distributes learning equipment under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Distribution of learning equipment and food items among the students of Residential Special Training Centre of SSA situated at Swargapuri and Chhelakhaiti in Biswanath district was carried on Wednesday under the initiative of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Biswanath District Special Training Department. This department has been set up to provide special assistance to all students living in the most backward areas. Around 70 students were provided with food items as well as essential learning equipment such as books, pens, pencils and erasers at Swargapuri and Chelaikhati, remote areas along the Assam-Arunachal border.

Manoj Kumar Gohain, District Planning Officer, told this correspondent that due to the ongoing lockdown, the education of students should not be affected. The students of two more residential centres under the department in the district would also be provided with such assistance, he added.
