The state conference of the Assam State Journalists’ Union will be held at Jagiroad College auditorium on December 24 and 25.

JAGIROAD: The state conference of the Assam State Journalists' Union will be held at Jagiroad College auditorium on December 24 and 25. In this connection, a reception committee with Harmohan Kalita as president and Pradip Kumar Deka as secretary was formed in a meeting held at Jagiroad.
According to the programme, the conference will be inaugurated by Tiwa Autonomous Council, Assam nominated member Khagen Das on December 24 at 9 am. The seminar and special felicitation session will be inaugurated by executive editor of Asomiya Khobor Biswajit Das while the seminar will be chaired by reception committee president Harmohan Kalita. The delegate session will be inaugurated by Mayong Revenue Circle Officer Biman Das at 4 pm. The cultural function will be inaugurated by Morigaon deputy commissioner Devasish Sarma at 6 pm while the delegates' meeting will be held at 9.30pm. On December 25, the union flag will be hoisted by the Assam State Journalist Union president Jitu Sarma at 9 am. The open session at 1.30 pm will be attended by the Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma as the chief guest. In this connection a souvenir will be released by the secretary of Assam Secretariat Hemen Das. The organising committee called upon all to make the programme a success.
