Steps taken by police officer Biraj Mohan Deka against drug smugglers lauded

NAGAON: A people-friendly police official, Sub-Inspector Biraj Mohan Deka, who has been working as a town sub-inspector of Nagaon since a couple of months, will soon be transferred to Darrang district due to election. The journalists, as well as senior citizen bodies of the town, have lauded his action against drug smugglers and crackdown on other illegal activities in the town. Most of the organizations said that TSI Deka, during his short period of service in the town, was able to carry out various operations against drugs peddlers as well as smugglers of illegal arms in the town and had busted many drug dens.
