DHUBRI: Dhubri district administration is taking all steps to make the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' programme a success. In the run-up to August 15, when the country will be celebrating the Azadi Ki Amrit Varsh this year, Dhubri district administration is leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand success.

An elaborate plan was chalked out by the district administration to stitch the required number of national flags for the Dhubri district to be hoisted from August 13 to August 15 on each house.

A press released by the Dhubri District Information and Public Relations Office said that 700 Self-help groups of the district will stich 1.68 lakh National Flags, of which they had already made 1.08 lakh and out of that 72,000 had already been sold at the rate of Rs. 16 to Rs 30.

This apart, all the fair price shops of the district will also sell 2.70 lakh National Flags at Rs 18 to its beneficiaries.The District Supply department will get supply of 2.31 lakh National Flags from the State Food and Supplies Department.

A meeting of high officials was held in the DC's conference hall on Wednesday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Anbamuthan MP. During the meeting, Self-help groups presented National Flags to the Deputy Commissioner.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed all the officials to ensure the hoisting of flags in each house, shop, official and private institution without fail according to the programme schedule.
