Stolen motors recovered by Tangla Police

TANGLA: A thief was apprehended by Tangla Police on Friday on charges of stealing motor pumps from a number of households of Tangla town in Udalguri district and recovered 9 motor pumps from his possession on Friday. According to reports, the accused identified as Biswajit Kar (25) is an inhabitant of Babupara Ward No. 4 locality of Tangla town.

Meanwhile, Tangla Police have registered a case (case no. 23/22 under 457/380 of IPC). "We have seized as many as 9 motor pumps from the accused person who is a plumber by profession. He was produced before the local court in Udalguri on Friday which has remanded him to two days of police custody, "said a police officer privy to the investigation.
