Stone carrying dumper catches fire due to technical glitches

TANGLA: A dumper carrying stones from Nonai River along the Indo-Bhutan border in Bhutiachang of Udalguri district to Guwahati, suddenly caught fire due to technical glitches on Monday.

The truck bearing registration no. AS025DC6624 was to ferry the materials to the State capital. Luckily, the driver and handyman were having lunch and escaped unhurt when the incident occurred. Local eyewitness informed that in no time the vehicle was gutted. Later, Paneri Police reached the spot for investigation.
