Students of Gargaon College excel in degree final exam

SIVASAGAR: In continuity with the outstanding performance of the previous years, students of historic Gargaon College have achieved brilliant results this year too, in the recently declared Degree final examination, 2022 under Dibrugarh University. The overall pass percentage in the Science stream is 90 per cent.

Several students notably have been able to secure the top positions in different subjects becoming the University Rank Holders. Himashree Das from the department of Geology has secured the first rank with outstanding grade while Neha Gogoi (O grade), Kallul Borgohain (O grade), and Rinee Gogoi (A+ grade) have secured the 2nd, 5th and 10th ranks respectively. Anuj Parashar from the department of Statistics has secured the 8th position in the subject with A+ grade while Aprajita Konwar from the department of Zoology has attained the 6th rank with an outstanding (O) grade.

Likewise in the Arts stream, the pass percentage is 85. Ankit Handique from the department of Assamese has secured the second rank with A+ grade, Dikshita Boruah (A+) from the department of Economics has secured the 8th position, Sonu Jalan (A+) from Education department has secured the 7th position, Rutuja Deori (A+) and Upasana Boruah (A+) from English department have secured the 2nd and the 3rd ranks respectively.

Significantly, Abhijeet Gogoi from the department of Geography has secured the third position in the subject with an Outstanding (O) grade. He has also secured the 14th position among the toppers in the Arts stream. Ananya Konwar from the department of Mathematics (Arts) has secured the first rank with A+ grade becoming the University topper. Further, the pass percentage in the Commerce stream is satisfactory with 67 percentage.

Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of the College, has expressed satisfaction over the outstanding results and has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the achievers and faculty members of the college.
