Students of two institutions intensify protest against CAB

GOLAGHAT: The students of HPB Girls’ College and Golaghat Commerce College on Saturday protested against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB). The students of the two institutions took out a protest rally throughout Golaghat town and staged protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

The students shouted various slogans against the BJP-led government and slammed the Sarbananda Sonowal government for taking an anti-Assam policy by bringing CAB to Assam. The students strongly opposed the Bill and said that they would never accept CAB. The students burnt tyres in the protest site and demanded the government to immediately scrap the Bill.
