Suspected Coronavirus case in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: News of a person being infected by Coronavirus in Bongaigaon has created panic among people. The person had returned from Dubai on March 3 and after he has been suffering from cough and fever. Talking to media persons, Dr Ratna Basumatary, Joint Director of Health of Bongaigaon district, said that people need panic as it had not been proved that the person has been infected by a coronavirus. “It is our instruction to send blood samples to Guwahati for testing if somebody suffers from cough or fever after returning from a foreign country. After three or four days the report will come and then we can be sure if it is a case of coronavirus infection or not,” he said.
