Swachh Bharat Abhiyan :33,000 personal toilets to be constructed soon in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: The construction of 33,000 personal toilets, which are yet to be constructed under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the district, will be constructed within October this year, the deadline set for its completion. Stating this at the District Development Committee Meeting held on Thursday at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room, DC Laya Madduri in her address, stressed mass awareness among the people to make Dibrugarh an open defecation-free district in the State.

Madduri also reviewed the progress of developmental activities as initiated by various departments like Irrigation, Agriculture Health, Social Welfare, PWD and Panchayat and Rural development departments. The meeting was attended by Development Commissioner Jadav Saikia, and Additional Deputy Commissioners Dr Lakshmipriya, Sanjay Dutta, Shovan Gowala, Dipu Kumar Deka and Susanta Kumar Dutta.
