Swahid Divas observed in Nalbari

NALBARI: Commemorating the historic life sacrifice of Swahid Mukunda Kakati, the Swahid Divas was observed at Swahid Mukunda Kakati Sangha on Monday. Swahid Mukunda Kakati was born at Sonkani village in Nalbari in 1919. He sacrificed his life in the famous Quit India Movement in 1942 in the Independence war. The falling flag from martyr Kanaklata was held by martyr Mukunda Kakati. On his 80th birth anniversary Swahid Divas was observed in collaboration of Swahid Mukunda Kakati Memorial Nyasa. Flag hoisting, flowery tribute and art competition among the school students were the main agenda.
