Tablighi Jamaat family members of attendees quash COVID-19 rumour

LAKHIMPUR: A rumour that has gone viral on social media about two youths of Dhakuakhana who are staying at home without screening after coming back from the Tablighi Jamaat of Nizamuddin Markaz in New Delhi, has provoked sensation and created a panic situation across Dhakuakhana subdivision. These two youths are Sahajat Ali, son of Ismail Ali, and Abdul Rajak, son of Rahim Ali, permanent residents of Manikpur village under the subdivision.

Due to the rumour, the people of the village concerned had to suffer a lot and they were prevented from going even to the market as per report. After inquiry, it was found that the two youths have not returned home yet. There are at Samali in Uttar Pradesh and in sound health. It was confirmed by the people of the village as well as the family members of the two youths. The youths also confirmed that they were staying in Uttar Pradesh over the telephone to media persons. In this regard, the people of the village and the family members of the youths have appealed to all not to believe in rumours and to maintain peace and harmony.
